Describe a situation when you saw or experienced a happy family. You should say: - Who was in this family - Where and when you saw them - What they were doing - And explain why you think they were a happy family

I want to tell about my neighbor family who lives next door to me. They are really special family that makes me feel warm whenever I see them together. This family has four members - the parents and two children who are in primary school. The father works as teacher in local school, while mother stays at home to take care of family. Their children are very polite boy and girl who always greet me with big smiles. I see this family almost every evening when they spend time in their garden. They started doing this routine since last summer, and it became their special tradition. Sometimes I watch them from my window because their happiness makes me feel good too. What makes them look so happy is how they interact together. The parents always listen careful to their children stories from school, and they laugh a lot while playing simple games in garden. The father teaches children about plants while they do gardening, and mother brings snacks that they all share together. I think they are truly happy family because they make time for each other every day. Even though father must be tired after teaching all day, he never shows it and gives full attention to his kids. The children also help their parents with small tasks without complaining, which shows good relationship between them. The way they support and care for one another makes me believe this is what happy family looks like.

Describe your educational journey throughout your life, including your experiences from early education to your current studies. You should write at least 150 words.

I want to tell about my education journey that started many years ago. When I was young child, my parents sent me to local primary school in my hometown. It was very nice school with good teachers who helped me learn basic things like reading and mathematics. After finishing primary education, I went to secondary school where I studied for 6 years. During this time, I discovered that I really like learning languages, especially English. Our English teacher was very kind person who always encouraged us to speak more in class. I remember I was spending many hours doing homework and practicing my English skills. Now, I am university student studying International Business. University life is quite different from school because we have more freedom but also more responsibility. Sometimes it is difficult to manage all assignments, but I try my best to keep up with studies. I have made many friends from different countries, which helps me improve my English even more. Looking back at my education journey, I can say it has shaped me into person I am today. Even though there were challenging moments, I am grateful for all opportunities I had to learn and grow. I hope to continue learning new things in future because education never stops.

Discuss the factors that contribute to Singapore's successful education system.

Singapore education system is very famous in whole world for making excellent results. I think there are many reasons why it works so good, and I will explain the most important ones. First thing that makes Singapore education successful is how teachers are trained very well. In my experience, when I visited Singapore last year, I saw that teachers study very hard before they can teach students. They must go through strict training and only best candidates get selected. This way ensures students get good quality education all the time. Another point that I want to mention is the way Singapore puts much importance on subjects like math and science. From what I understand, students spend lots of time practicing these subjects, which helps them become very strong in technical skills. Also they have many competitions and special programs that make students work harder to achieve better results. The education system in Singapore also gives much support to students who need help. I have read that if someone is struggling with studies, they get extra attention from teachers. This makes sure no student falls behind others and everyone can keep up with the lessons that are taught in class. Finally, I think Singapore education system works good because parents are very involved in their children studying. They always check homework and make sure children study hard everyday. This creates environment where education is valued very much by everyone. To conclude, Singapore education system achieves great success because of many factors working together, like good teacher training, focus on important subjects, support for weak students, and involvement of parents. All these things combine to make system that produces excellent results consistently.

At what age should parents allow children to begin making their own decisions? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

I strongly believe that allowing children to make their own decisions is a process that should start from early age, but in a controlled way that matches with their development. This essay will explore my thoughts about this important topic of parenting. In my opinion, parents can begin letting children make small decisions when they are around 5 or 6 years old. Like for example, they can choose what clothes they want to wear to school or what food they prefer to eat for breakfast. I remember when I was young, my parents let me decide these things and it helped me feel more confident. Even though sometimes I made choices that were not so good, but I learned from these experiences. Moreover, as children get older and reach teenage years, they should receive more freedom for making bigger decisions. When students are 13 or 14 years old, they can start deciding about their hobbies and which friends they want to spend time with. But parents still need to watch over these choices because teenagers don't always think about consequences. For instance, my cousin who is 14 now chooses his own after-school activities, but his parents make sure these activities are safe and good for him. However, the most important decisions should wait until children are more mature, like around 16 or 17 years old. At this age, they can start thinking about their future career or which university they want to go to. I think this is good age because they understand more about world but still have support from parents if they need help. When I was 17, I decided which university course I wanted to study, and even though it was difficult choice, I felt ready to make it. In conclusion, I believe parents should slowly give their children more freedom to make decisions as they grow up. This way helps children learn responsibility while still being protected from big mistakes. It is like learning to walk - first you need support, then slowly you can do it by yourself.

Nowadays, there is much debate about the appropriate age at which children should be allowed to make their own decisions. At what age do you think children should be given this independence? What factors should parents consider when giving children decision-making responsibilities? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

In my opinion, letting children make their own decisions is very important topic that many parents struggle with. I will explain my thoughts about this matter and share some experiences from my life. First of all, I believe children can start making small decisions already from age of 6 or 7 years old. When I was this age, my parents let me choose what clothes I want to wear to school, and it helped me feel more confident. Even though sometimes I made choices that weren't so good, like wearing t-shirt in cold weather, these experiences helped me learn about consequences of my decisions. This learning was very valuable for my development. Moreover, as children get older, they should receive more responsibility for their choices. From my experience working at summer camp, I noticed that teenagers around 13-14 years old are already capable to decide many things. They can choose which activities they want to join, who they want to be friends with, and what food they like to eat. But still, parents need to watch carefully and give advice when it's necessary. However, it's also important to remember that every child develops differently. Some children show good judgment earlier than others, while some children need more time to learn how to make good decisions. Parents should look at many factors before giving their children freedom to decide. These factors include the child's maturity level, their understanding of consequences, and how responsible they are with current tasks they have. In conclusion, I think parents should start giving children chance to make decisions from early age, but do it slowly and carefully. This way helps children learn important life skills but keeps them safe at same time. The most important thing is to find right balance between freedom and guidance, which will be different for every family.

Some people believe that too many resources and attention are devoted to the protection of wild animals and birds. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In today's world, there is big discussion about how much money and effort we should spend on protecting wildlife. While some people think we use too much resources for this, I strongly disagree with this opinion because animals are very important for our planet's future. First of all, I think that wild animals and birds are playing crucial role in nature's balance. When I was studying in school, I learned that every animal has its special job in ecosystem. For example, birds are eating insects that can damage plants, and big animals like wolves are controlling population of smaller animals. If we don't protect these animals and they disappear, it will make many problems for nature and also for humans. Another point I want to talk about is that we have responsibility to protect these creatures. In my opinion, humans have made many bad things to nature over many years, like cutting forests and making pollution. Because we caused these problems, now we must help animals who are suffering because of our actions. It is not fair to say we spend too much resources when we created this situation in first place. Furthermore, protecting wildlife is also good for our economy. In my experience, many people like to visit natural parks and watch animals in their natural place. This makes lots of money from tourism and creates jobs for local people. For example, in my country, we have special area where rare birds live, and many tourists come there every year to see them. This shows that money we spend on protecting animals can actually help our economy too. In conclusion, I completely disagree that we spend too many resources on protecting wild animals and birds. I believe that these animals are very important for nature's balance, and we have duty to protect them because of damage we caused. Also, protecting them can bring good things for our economy. If we don't help them now, we might lose them forever, and that would be very bad for everyone.

The graph shows the global electricity production by four types of sources from 1991 to 2009. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The line graph demonstrate how electricity was produced globally using four different source over a period of 18 years, starting from 1991 until 2009. Overall, while thermal power remained the dominant source of electricity generation throughout the period, nuclear and hydroelectric power showed gradual increase. However renewable energy source had the lowest production level, despite showing some improvement in later years. Looking at specific detail, thermal power generation experienced significant growth from approximately 8,000 terawatt hours in 1991 to around 13,000 terawatt hours by 2009. This increase was much more dramatic than other sources. Nuclear power, which was second most important source, increased slowly from about 2,000 to 2,700 terawatt hours during this time. The hydroelectric power production also showed steady growth, rising from roughly 2,000 terawatt hours to reach 3,000 terawatt hours at end of period. Meanwhile, renewable energy sources, which include wind and solar power, remained very low in comparison to other sources, but it started to show slight increase after 2000, reaching nearly 500 terawatt hours in 2009. This was still much lower than other three sources, but the trend was going up. In conclusion, even though all four sources showed some increase over the period, thermal power clearly dominated the electricity production, while renewable energy remained minimal despite recent improvements.

Some people think that advertisements have positive effects on our lives, while others believe they are harmful to society. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

In modern world, advertisements are everywhere we look at. From the moment I wake up until I go sleep, I see many different advertisements on my phone, on streets, and in shops. While some people think advertisements help us, other people say they make bad effects on society. I agree with both opinions, but I think advertisements have more negative impacts than good ones. First thing I want to talk about is why advertisements can be helpful for people. When I need to buy something, advertisements show me what products are available in market. For example, last month I wanted buy new phone, and because of advertisements I learned about different phones and their features. Also, advertisements help companies tell people about their products, which makes economy better and creates more jobs for people. However, I strongly believe advertisements also create problems in society. One big problem is that they make people buy things they don't really need. Many times I bought something because advertisement made it look very good, but later I understood I didn't need this thing. Another problem I see is that advertisements sometimes don't tell truth about products. They show only good things but hide bad things, which is not fair for customers who spend money. Moreover, I think advertisements have bad effect on young people. When my little sister watches videos on internet, she always wants to buy toys she sees in advertisements. This makes children want more and more things, and parents have difficult time explaining why they cannot buy everything. Also, some advertisements show perfect bodies or expensive lifestyle, which makes young people feel bad about themselves. In conclusion, while advertisements help economy and give information about products, I believe they create more problems than benefits. They make people buy unnecessary things and sometimes show wrong information. I think governments should make more strict rules about advertisements, especially ones that target young people.

Some university students want to learn about other subjects in addition to their main course, while others believe it is more important to give their time and attention to studying for their qualifications. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

In today's world, there is big discussion about whether university students should focus only on their main subjects or study additional courses too. While some people think it's better to concentrate on getting good grades in their main qualification, I believe that learning other subjects can bring many benefits for students. First of all, when students study only their main course, they can spend more time to understand difficult topics. For example, when I was studying engineering, some of my classmates who focused only on engineering subjects got better marks than me because they had more time for practicing complex calculations. They always studied in library and didn't waste time for other activities. This helped them to graduate with higher grades, which was good for finding job later. However, I strongly think that learning additional subjects can make students more successful in future. In my experience, I took some business classes while studying engineering, and this knowledge helped me very much in my career. Now I understand how companies work and can talk with managers better. Also, when students learn different subjects, they develop their brain in different ways and become more creative with solving problems. Moreover, extra subjects help students to meet new people from other courses. Like in my university, I made friends with students from economics department when I took finance class. These connections are very valuable because sometimes they can help find good job opportunities or start business together. And also, studying different things makes university life more interesting and not boring. In conclusion, although focusing only on main qualification can help get better grades, I believe learning additional subjects brings more advantages. It helps develop different skills, makes useful connections with other students, and prepares better for future career. Universities should encourage students to explore different subjects while they have this opportunity.

In many countries around the world, rural people are moving to cities, causing a decrease in the countryside population. Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

In recent years, many people who live in rural areas move to big cities for different reasons. I think this development has both positive and negative effects, but the disadvantages are more significant for society. When people move from villages to cities, they can find better jobs and make more money. I remember when my cousin moved to the capital city, he got work in big company and now he earn three times more than before. Also, in cities there are many good schools and universities, so young people can study better subjects and become successful in their life. Another thing is that cities have modern hospitals with good doctors, which means people get better medical care than in villages. However, I believe there are more negative effects when everybody goes to live in cities. First problem is that villages become empty and nobody wants to work in farms anymore. This makes big trouble because we need farmers to grow food for everyone. In my country, many old people stay alone in villages because their children went to city, and they feel very sad and lonely. Also, when too many people come to cities, the cities get too crowded and there are problems like expensive houses and too much traffic on roads. Furthermore, when people leave countryside, we lose our traditional way of life and culture. I see this happen in my village, where nobody does traditional festivals anymore because young people all left. Cities make people think only about money and work, but in villages people care more about family and helping each other. This change in values is not good for our society. In conclusion, while moving to cities can help people get better jobs and education, I think the negative effects on rural areas and society are more important. Governments should try to make villages better places to live so people want to stay there.

Many people go through life doing work that they hate or have no talent for. Why does this happen? What are the consequences of this situation? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

In lots of peples life they are doing work that are not enjoyment or skillness in the job. It is big probelm that cause many bad things in their life and socity. I will explain why this happens and effects. First it is happed that people dont have choice to select there work. They must work to earn money even if the job is very unpleasent or hard. For example my uncle dont like be a farmer but he must do it to support our family and not have other skills to change job. Also many people dont know what there tallents and interests is when young, so they just take any work that can find. They get trap in work and cant change later. Secondly, the consequences is very bad for indvidual and society. People who hate there job or have no talent, they will be very unhappy every day. They will not do good work and maybe get fired which cause them more problems like no money or home. Also the company lose money because worker is not efective and efficient. If many people like this it can make big effect on country econemy. In conclusion, i think this is very serous issue that goverments and schools must try to solve. We must help young people find there real talents and help them get education for jobs they like. Also companies should let people change jobs more easy if they are unhappy. If we dont fix this problem, many people will wasted there lifes in wrong work.

Learning English at school is often seen as more important than learning local languages. If these are not taught, many are at risk of dying out. In your opinion, is it important for everyone to learn English? Should we try to ensure the survival of local languages and, if so, how?

In my opinio, the study of English language has became more popular and important now days. Many school focussing on English teaching instead of local languages. The local language study is given less important, and this lead to the risk of these languages being died out. I will discuss the importance of English, as well as how we can protection local languages in this essay. First of all, learning English in school is very importance. English is an international languages which is spoken in many countries. It has become a common language for people from all over world to communicate. In business or education, English skills is often a requirement. Therefor, schools are spend more time and resource to teach english, so that students have better chance in their future. However, as a result of over-emphasis on English, the teaching of local language is being neglect. Many student nowadays do not have strong local language abilities, some even unable use their mother tongue. This is a worry trend as it may lead to these local language being disappeared. Local language is an importance part of a regions culture and identity. It connects peple with their root and heritage. In my opinions, while English teaching should not be ignored because of it's important, effort must made to protection local languages as well. Government can make polices to ensures that schools devote sufficient time and resource to local languages. Local language can be made a complusory subject alongside English. The use of local language should also promoted in public spaces and media. By taking these step, we can finds a balance between learning English and preservating local languages. To sum up, English is a global language that brings many advantage, but it should not comes at the expense of local languages. The educate system needs to put effort into ensuring that both English and local language thrive. Only in these way can we have a richer and more diverse linguistic environments.

Some countries achieve international sports success by building specialised facilities to train top athletes, instead of providing sports facilities that everyone can use. Do you think this is a positive or negative development? Discuss both views and give your opinion.

In modern days, some country trying to get more international sports success from building special facility only for elite athlete training, and not facilities which everyone using. I agreed it is negative develop. On 1 hand, this approach help country get more medals on international competitions like Olympic. When athlete have access in state-of-art training centers and coach, they performing best. For example, China has many facilities for training young talent into top performing athlete, which is why they always at top of medal table. It seems good because more medals mean country look strong and powerful in international stage. However, I beleive this aproach is wrong in my opinion. Firstly, when all money going only to elite sport, it taking away from public sports and health. I think government should provide more sports grounds and facilityes for regular people, so everyone have chance to do sport and staying healthy. But if all money go to special training for just few athlets, then everyone else not have same oportunity. Secondly, it also not encourage people to take on sport. When people see all money going only in professional sport, they beleive only way they can do sport is being professional, which is not true because sport should be for everyone enjoyment and health. I think this message is important and good for sosiety in general. To summary, whilst I understanding the benefits to give special training for top athletes and how it bring international success, but I strongly beleive this funds can be used better if gived to public for sport facilities everyone using. This will improve health of country population in overall and also inspire more people taking sport. It will be more positive developement in my opinion.

Nowadays many people choose to be self-employed, rather than work for a company or organisation. Why might this be the case? What could be the disadvantages of being self-employed? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. Write at least 250 words.

These day, many people decide to work for themself instead of to be employees of the company or organizations. There are several reason for this trend, but it also has some drawback. One of the main reason why individuals opt for self-employment is the flexibility and freedom it offers. When you are your own boss, you have control over your work schedule and can decide when and where to work. This is especially appealing to those who value work-life balance or have other commitments, such as caring for family members. Additionally, being self-employed allows you to pursue your passion and work on project that align with your value and interests. However, self-employment also come with its own set of challenge. One significant disadvantage is the lack of job security and steady income. Unlike salaried employees who receive a regular paycheck, self-employee individuals must constantly seek out new clients and project to maintain a stable income. This can be stressful and require a great deal of time and effort. Moreover, self-employe people do not receive benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, or retirement plans, which can be cost and add to financial burden. Another potential drawback of self-employment is the need to handle all aspect of the business, from marketing and sales to accounting and administrative task. This can be overwhelming, especially for those who lack experience or skill in these areas. It may also require investing in additional resource, such as hiring staff or purchasing equipment, which can be expensive. In conclusion, while self-employment offers many benefit, such as flexibility and the ability to pursue one's passion, it also comes with significant challenge. These include financial instability, lack of benefit, and the need to handle all aspect of the business. Individuals considering self-employment should carefully weigh these factor before making a decision.

Some people like to spend their leisure time with their colleagues, while others prefer to keep their private life separate from their work life. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

In the today's world, many peoples have different view about the spending their free time. Some of them likes to spend there leasure time with coworkers, but on the other hand, others want to seperate their privete life from the job. In this easy, I will discus both side of this topic and give my openion. First of all, spending time with coleagues outside of work can has some benefits. It can help to build the stronger realtionships and improov communication among team members. When peoples spend time together in a more relaxed environment, they can get to no each other better and develop a sence of camaraderie. This can lead to the better collaboration and productivity in the workplace. However, there are also valid reason for keeping work and personal life separate. Some people belief that it is important to have the clear bounderies between their profesional and private lives. They may feel that spending too much time with coworkers outside of work can blur these lines and lead to awkward or uncomfrotable situation. Additionally, some people simply prefer to keep their personal life privat and do not want to share detailz with their colleagues. In my opinion, I think that it is the important to find a balanse between spending time with colleagues and maintaining a separate personal life. While building the relationships with coworkers can be beneficial, it is also important to have time for yourself, family, and the other interests outside of work. Ultimately, the decision of how to spend leasure time is the personal choice that depends on individual preferences and circumstances. In the conclusion, there are pros and cons to spending free time with coleagues. Some people enjoy the opportunity to bond with their coworkers, while others prefer to keep work and pesronal life separate. There is no write or wrong answer, and it is up to each person to decide what works best for them based on their own needs and value.

Every year large numbers of people migrate from one country to another for different reasons. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this change.

In this days people are always migration from they country to another places for many causes. This has some good thing and som bad things I will discusse in this essa. One of advantages is people can find better work in new contry. If they cant find job in they own country they move to place with more oportunity. This help them to make more money and have beter life. Also sometime people move to get beter education for them or they children. In other contry school and university may be beter than in they own place. However there are also problem with migration. One disadvantage is it can be dificult for people to adjus to new culture and way of life. They may feel lonely and have problem making new frends. Also if to many people move to same place it can cause problem for that country. It may be to many people and not enouf houses or jobs for everyone. In conclusion I think migration have both positive and negative affect. It can be very good for people who move and find beter life but it also cause some problem. I think government need to control migration so it not cause to many problem for country people move to.

Dear friend, I heard that you wanted to go for holiday soon, and asked me for recommendation. I am writing to tell you about a great place which I visited before, it is called Phuket in Thailand. Last year, me and my family went to Phuket for our summer vacation. We stayed in a resort near the beach, the room was very comfortable and had a nice view of the ocean. The resort also had many facilities such as swimming pool, gym, and spa, which made our stay more enjoyable. There are many things you can do in Phuket. You can go to the beach and swim in the clear blue water, or lay on the soft sand and get a tan. If you like adventure, you can try water sports like jet skiing, parasailing, or snorkeling. You can also visit some famous tourist attractions such as the Big Buddha statue or the old town of Phuket. One thing I like most about Phuket is the food. Thai food is delicious and cheap, you can find many restaurants and street vendors selling various dishes such as pad thai, green curry, and mango sticky rice. The seafood is also fresh and tasty, you can try grilled fish or shrimp at the beach. Overall, I think Phuket is a great place for holiday. It has beautiful beaches, many activities, and good food. I highly recommend you to visit Phuket for your next vacation. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me. Best regards, Your friend
