The table shows the population ratio of females per 100 males in six different areas (Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Central America and Oceania) in 1995 and 2005. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The given table present information about how many females there was for every 100 males in different parts of world during two years, 1995 and 2005. Overall, we can see that most regions had more females than males, with number being higher than 100, except Africa where the ratio was lower. Also, the changes between these years was not very big in most places. If we look more careful at the data, Europe had highest ratio of females in both years, with 106.5 females for every 100 males in 1995, and this number went up little bit to 107.1 in 2005. North America also had quite high numbers, staying around 104 females per 100 males in both years. Central America showed similar pattern but with slightly lower numbers. The situation in Asia and Oceania was bit different, because their ratios stayed close to 100, meaning the number of females and males was almost same. However, Africa had completely opposite situation from other regions, with only 98.3 females for every 100 males in 1995, and this number decreased even more to 97.8 in 2005, making it only region where males outnumbered females significantly. In terms of changes over time, most regions experienced very small variations in their ratios. The biggest change was seen in Europe, where ratio increased by 0.6 over ten years period, while Africa showed biggest decrease of 0.5 during same time.
Some people believe it is important to know their personal strengths and weaknesses, while others think it is better to focus only on developing new skills. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
In today's world, people have different opinions about whether we should know our strong points and weak points, or just learn new things. I think both views have good reasons, but I believe knowing ourselves is more important for success in life. Many persons think it is better to just focus in learning new skills because world is changing very fast. For example, when I started university, I didn't know anything about computers but I learned it because I needed for my studies. Also, if we spend too much time thinking about what we good at and what we not good at, maybe we lose time that we could use for learning useful things that help us in future. However, I strongly believe that understanding our strengths and weaknesses is more beneficial for our development. When I know what I am good at, I can use these skills more effectively in my work and daily life. Like, I am very good at organizing things, so I always help my friends when they need to plan something. Also, when we know our weak points, we can make plan to improve them step by step, which is more effective than just learning random new things. In my experience, the best approach is combining both ideas. First we should understand our strong and weak points, then we can choose which new skills we need to learn that match with our natural abilities. This way helps us to develop in a more natural and efficient way. For instance, because I know I am good with numbers, I decided to learn programming, which was easier for me than for some other students. To conclude, while learning new skills is important in modern world, I think knowing our strengths and weaknesses helps us make better choices about what skills to develop. This makes our learning more focused and successful.
You recently received a letter from a friend asking for advice about whether to go to college or to try to get a job. You think he/she should get a job. Write a letter to this friend. In your letter: - say why he/she would not enjoy going to college - explain why getting a job is a good idea for him/her - suggest types of job that would be suitable for him/her
Dear Alex, I got your letter last week and I was thinking a lot about your question. Getting job or going college is big decision, and I want help you make right choice. From what I know about you, I think working is better option. You always tell me how you don't like sitting in classroom for long time. In college, students must attend many lectures and spend hours reading books in library. Also, you are person who gets bored quickly when teacher talks too much. I remember when we were in school together, you always wanted to do practical things instead of theory. College would make you feel trapped, I think. Getting job now has many good points for you. First, you can start earning money right away, which is very important thing. You told me before that your family needs financial support. Also, when you work, you learn real skills that companies want. In my opinion, this is more valuable than college degree sometimes. You are very good at learning by doing things, so job will suit you better. I think you should look for jobs in sales or customer service area. You are very friendly person and you like talking with people. Maybe you can work in shopping mall or restaurant first. Another good option is to become apprentice in company, where they teach you special skills. My cousin did this in car repair shop and now he makes good money. Let me know what you think about my suggestions. I really believe job is better choice for you right now. Best wishes, Maria
It is important for people to take risks, both in their professional lives and their personal lives. Do you think the advantages of taking risks outweigh the disadvantages?
In today's world, many people face difficult choices about taking risks in their life. While some believe it is better to stay in comfort zone, I think the benefits of taking calculated risks are greater than drawbacks, and I will explain my reasons. First of all, when we take risks in our professional life, we can get more opportunities for growth. I remember when I changed my job two years ago - it was very scary decision because I had worked in same company for long time. But after I made this change, I learned many new skills and got better salary. This shows that sometimes we need to take risk for improving our career path. Moreover, taking risks in personal life can help us to discover new experiences and meet interesting people. For example, when I decided to study abroad, I was worried about leaving my family and friends. However, this risk helped me to become more independent person and make friends from different cultures. If I didn't take this risk, I would never know how much I can achieve by myself. On the other hand, I understand that risks can also bring negative consequences. Sometimes people lose money or waste time when they try new business ideas. Also, some personal decisions like moving to another country might make us feel lonely. But I think these problems are temporary and we can learn from our mistakes. In conclusion, although taking risks can be challenging and sometimes leads to difficulties, I strongly believe that advantages are more significant than disadvantages. Without taking risks, we might miss important chances for personal development and professional success. It is better to try and maybe fail than never try at all.
What problems do smartphones cause in our lives?
In modern time, smartphones have become very important part of our daily life. Even though they help us do many things, I think they also create some serious problems that we need to think about. First problem I notice is that people spend too much time looking at their phones. When I go to university, I see my friends always checking their phones during break time, and sometimes even in class they do this. This make them not concentrate on their studies properly, and their grades become not so good. I have experienced this problem myself, because many times I want to study but then I check Instagram or TikTok and suddenly one hour is gone. Another big issue that I observe is that smartphones make us less social in real life. For example, when I meet with my friends at cafe, everyone is busy with their phones instead of talking to each other. We are sitting together but not really together, if you understand what I mean. This situation makes me feel sad because before smartphones we used to have more real conversations. Health problems are also becoming worse because of smartphones. I know many people who have trouble sleeping because they use phone before bed, and I also get headaches sometimes when I look at screen too long. My eyes feel very tired after using phone for many hours, but I still continue using it because it's hard to stop. In conclusion, I believe smartphones create many problems in our daily lives, from making us waste time to affecting our health badly. While we cannot live without smartphones in today's world, we should try to use them less and be more careful about how much time we spend on them.
Describe your typical daily routine and explain how it helps you maintain a balanced lifestyle. Include details about your morning, afternoon, and evening activities, and discuss why you find this schedule effective. Write at least 150 words.
In my life, I am having quite organized schedule that help me do many things every day. First, I wake up at 6:30 in morning because early morning is giving me energy for whole day. When I get up, I am doing some exercises in my room, not too difficult ones but enough to make my body feel good. Then I take shower and prepare breakfast, which usually consists of bread and eggs because they are giving me power. After eating, I go to university by bus which takes approximately 35 minutes from my house. My university classes are starting at 9 o'clock and finishing around 4 in afternoon. During this time, I am studying hard and taking notes carefully. Sometimes I eat lunch with my friends in cafeteria, where we discuss about our studies and life. After coming home, I always do my homework first because it is most important. Then I can relax little bit by watching videos or reading books. I try sleeping at 10:30 every night so that I can wake up fresh next day. This routine is making me productive and helping me achieve my goals in good way. I think this schedule is working well for me because it gives balance between study, exercise and rest. When I follow this routine, I feel more organized and can manage my time better than before.
There is certainly a difference in thoughts, ideas and actions between children, their parents and grandparents. Why do these differences exist? Does it cause problems in your community, in your opinion?
I strongly believe that the gap between generations is natural thing that happens in every family and society. In this essay, I will explain why these differences exist and share my thoughts about problems they create in my community. First of all, every generation grows up in different time period, which makes them think different. When I was young, my grandparents always tell me stories about their childhood without phones and computers, and I cannot imagine living like that. They learned different values because society was different that time. My parents also have different experience from me, because when they were studying, there was no internet and social media which is very important part of my life now. Another reason for these differences is that world changes very fast nowadays. Young people adapt quick to new technologies and modern ideas, while older generations sometimes struggle to understand these changes. For example, my grandmother still does not know how to use smartphone properly, and she thinks social media is dangerous thing that waste time. But for me and my friends, it is normal part of daily life that helps us stay connected. In my opinion, these differences between generations sometimes cause problems in our community. Sometimes older people dont understand why young generation has different values and priorities. This can lead to arguments in families when parents want their children to follow traditional path, but children want to try new things. However, I think these conflicts are not very serious usually, because most families learn to respect each other's views even if they dont agree completely. To conclude, I believe generation gap exists because of different time periods people grow up in and fast changes in modern world. While it can create some problems in community, these differences are natural part of life that we need to accept and manage with understanding and respect.
Describe a trip you were looking forward to but was delayed. You should say: where you planned to go why you wanted to go there what caused the delay and explain how you felt about the delay
I want to tell about my trip to Japan that I was very excited about but unfortunately got delayed last year. It was going to be my first time traveling to Asia, and I had been dreaming about visiting Tokyo since I was small child watching anime. The main reason I wanted going there was because of my big interest in Japanese culture. I have studied Japanese language for three years already, and I really wanted to practice it with local people. Also, I was very excited to see famous places like Mount Fuji and old temples that I only saw in pictures before. But then, just two weeks before my flight, there was problem with my visa application. The embassy said they needed more documents to prove my student status, and getting these papers from my university took much longer time than I expected. Because of this delay, I had to change all my bookings and wait three more months until I could finally go. At first, I felt really disappointed and sad about this situation. I had spent so much time planning everything perfect, and now all plans were destroyed. However, after some time I started thinking different way - maybe it was actually good thing because I could save more money and plan even better trip. Sometimes bad things happen but we must try to see good side of them. When I finally went to Japan three months later, I enjoyed it even more because I had time to learn more about places I wanted to visit. So maybe this delay was not such bad thing after all, even though it made me feel very sad at first time.
Last weekend you attended the Canada Day community picnic. The event was a potluck, so everyone brought a dish of food to share. Some people, including you, have allergies or can't eat some types of food, such as nuts and seafood, so you included a list of ingredients with your dish. No one else did this. Write a letter to the event organizer to: Express your overall enjoyment of last week's event Explain why each potluck dish needs a list of ingredients Describe how the potluck could be differently organized next year
Dear Mr. Thompson, I am writing this letter for telling you how much I enjoyed the Canada Day picnic last weekend. The atmosphere was really nice and I could meet many interesting people from our community. Even though I have some food allergy, I still had good time there. About the food that everyone bring, I notice that only my dish had ingredients list attached to it. I think this is very important thing that we must do next time. You see, there are many people who cannot eat certain foods because of health problems or religious reasons. For example, I cannot eat peanuts because I get very sick from them, and my friend Sarah is allergic to shellfish. When we don't know what is in the food, we feel afraid to try new dishes and cannot enjoy fully the event. For next year celebration, I would like to suggest some changes in organization. First thing is making rule that everyone must write down ingredients of their dish. Also, maybe we can make different sections for different types of food - one area for vegetarian food, another for food with no nuts, and so on. This way people can easily find what they can safely eat. Another good idea is to put small cards next to each dish with name of person who made it, so if someone has question about ingredients, they know who to ask. I really hope you will think about these suggestions. They will help make next year picnic even better and safer for everyone who comes. Best regards, Maria Chen
Write a letter to the newspaper's editor giving your views on: - whether you prefer reading news online or in print - what you think about stopping the print version - suggest ways to increase sales of the print version Write at least 150 words.
Dear Editor, I am writing this letter because I want to share my thoughts about the newspaper situation. I have been reading your newspaper for 5 years now, and I really care about what happens to it. For me personally, I like reading news both ways - online and on paper. When I am going to work in train, I always prefer to read paper version because it makes me feel comfortable and reminds me of old times when I was young. But when I am at home or office, I usually read news on my phone because it is more convenient and fast. I think stopping print version would be very bad decision. Many people like me enjoy reading actual paper, especially older people who are not good with technology. Also, some research shows that people remember information better when they read from paper, so it is important for education too. Maybe you could try some new things to make more people buy paper version? For example, you could make special weekend edition with more interesting stories and pictures that people cannot find online. Or maybe give people small gifts when they buy paper version, like nice bookmark or coffee discount coupon. Also, you could make subscription cheaper for students and old people who want paper version. I really hope you will continue printing newspaper because it is important part of our community. Best regards, Lee Smith
Nowadays, people expect that automation in business will rapidly take over jobs from people. Why do people think this? Is this a positive or negative development? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. Write at least 250 words.
In recent years, many people are believing that machines and computers will take many jobs from humans in business world. I will explain why people have this thinking and discuss if this development brings good or bad effects to our society. People are thinking like this because they see how technology is changing very fast around them. In my country, for example, many shops now have self-checkout machines where before there were workers helping customers pay for things. Also, when I go to bank nowadays, I see less workers there because many people use mobile apps for doing their banking things. These changes make people worry about their future jobs. I think this development has both positive and negative effects, but maybe more negative ones. On the good side, automation helps companies save money and work faster. Like in car factories, robots can work 24 hours without getting tired and make less mistakes than humans. This makes products cheaper for customers to buy. However, the bad effects are more serious I think. When machines take over jobs, many workers lose their income and cannot support their families. In my city, I know some people who worked as cashiers but lost their jobs because of automatic payment systems. Another problem is that not all workers can easily learn new skills for different jobs. For example, my friend's father worked in factory for 20 years, but now the factory uses robots. He is finding it very difficult to learn computer skills for new job. This situation makes many people feel stressed and worried about future. To conclude, people are concerned about automation because they see it happening already in many places. While it brings some benefits like efficiency and lower prices, I believe the negative effects on workers and their families are more important to think about. Governments should help workers learn new skills and find new jobs when automation takes their old ones.
In many countries, although people work hard throughout their lives, they still don't have enough money to live comfortably in their retirement. Identify some causes of this retirement issue and suggest possible solutions.
In today's world, many people are facing big problems when they retire because they don't have enough money to live good life. I will discuss what I think are main reasons for this situation and offer some ideas how to fix it. One of important causes why people struggle with money after retirement is because they not save enough when they working. Like in my country, most people spend all salary for daily needs and buying things they want, so they put very little money away for future. Another reason that make this problem worse is that prices go up very fast nowadays, but the money people save doesn't grow as quick as inflation. Also, many workers don't understand good about financial planning, so they missing opportunities to make their money grow better. For solving these problems, I believe government and companies need to help people more. First thing they should do is make better education about money management, so people can learn from young age how important to save money. Government could also make rules that companies must put some money from worker salary into special retirement account every month. This way, workers will have savings even if they not think about it. Additionally, I think banks should offer special saving accounts for retired people where money can grow more than normal accounts. In conclusion, although there are several reasons why many retired people have money problems, I believe if government, companies and banks work together with people, we can make situation better. Most important is to help people understand about saving money and make it easier for them to save for retirement. If we do these things, more people can have comfortable life after they stop working.
The bar chart compares the percentage of Australian-born and foreign-born residents living in urban, rural, and town areas between 1995 and 2010. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.
The bar chart shows information about where people lived in Australia during two different years, 1995 and 2010, and it compares people who were born in Australia with those who came from other countries. Looking at the data, we can see that most of the people who were not born in Australia preferred to live in urban areas. The percentage was quite high in 1995, around 85%, and it became even higher in 2010 when it reached almost 90%. I think this is because cities have more job opportunities for people who come from different countries. For Australian-born people, the pattern was different. They were more spread out across different areas. In 1995, about 45% of them lived in urban areas, 35% in rural places, and 20% in towns. But things changed by 2010 - more Australian-born people moved to cities, with the percentage going up to 55% in urban areas, while rural areas saw less people, dropping to 25%. The most interesting thing I noticed is that both groups showed similar trends of moving to cities over time, but foreign-born people always preferred urban areas much more strongly than those born in Australia. Also, very few people born outside Australia chose to live in rural areas in both years, while Australian-born citizens still maintained significant presence there despite the decline.
Rich countries often give money to poorer countries, but it does not solve poverty. Therefore, developed countries should give other types of help to poor countries rather than financial aid. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
I partly agree that developed countries need to provide different kinds of assistance to poor nations, but I also think financial aid still plays important role in helping these countries develop. When rich countries just give money to poor countries, this sometimes create problems instead of solving them. I have seen in news how some governments take this money but they don't use it properly for their people. For example, in my country when we received aid from other countries, some officials kept money for themselves and normal people didn't get any benefit. Also, when countries keep getting money without learning how to make their own economy better, they become too dependent on help from outside. However, I think financial support is still necessary because poor countries need money to start making changes. Many developing nations don't have enough resources to build schools, hospitals, or roads that they need very much. If rich countries stop giving money completely, these countries will have very difficult time to improve their situation. The important thing is to make sure the money is used in right way. I believe the best solution is to combine financial aid with other types of help. Rich countries can send experts who can teach local people important skills, like how to run businesses or how to use new farming methods. They can also help poor countries to develop their own industries and trade with other nations. When local people learn these skills, they can start making their own money and their country will become stronger. For instance, when Japan helped some Southeast Asian countries by teaching them about technology and business, these countries economy grew very fast. In conclusion, while I agree that just giving money is not enough to solve poverty, I think financial aid should continue together with other forms of assistance. This way, poor countries can get both the money they need and the knowledge to use it effectively for their development.
Most people do not care enough about environmental issues. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
I strongly agree with the statement that most individuals nowadays do not show sufficient concern about environmental problems. In this essay, I will explain my views on this important topic and provide examples from my personal experience. First of all, when I look around in my daily life, I see many people who continue doing things that harm our environment. For example, in my university, students always buy plastic bottles even though we have water stations everywhere in the building. They say it is more convenient, but I think they don't understand how plastic is affecting our planet. Also, many of my friends drive cars for short distances when they could easily walk or use bicycle. Furthermore, I notice that lot of people know about climate change and pollution, but they don't make any real changes in their lifestyle. Like in my neighborhood, people keep their air conditioning on all day during summer, and they never think about saving energy. Sometimes I try telling them about saving electricity, but they just say one person cannot make big difference. This kind of thinking shows how people understand the problems but don't care enough to take action. However, I must say that young generation is starting to care more about these issues. In my school, we have environmental club where students organize activities to clean parks and teach others about recycling. But still, when I compare this small group with total number of students, it makes me sad because only few people join these activities. In conclusion, based on what I observe in my daily life, I strongly believe that majority of people are not taking environmental issues seriously enough. While there are some positive changes happening, especially among young people, we need much more people to start caring about our planet's future. If we don't change our attitude soon, I worry that it might be too late to fix these problems.
The two maps illustrate the changes that have occurred in a community center over time. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The maps show how a community center has changed and developed between two different time periods, and there was significant modifications in the layout and facilities of the building. In the first map, we can see that community center was more simple in its design. There was main entrance from the north side that lead directly into reception area. Behind reception, there was large main hall which take up most of the building space. On both sides of main hall, there were small rooms - storage room on left side and office on right side. At back of building, there was kitchen area that connected to main hall. Looking at second map, the community center went through major renovation. Even though main entrance stayed in same position, the inside completely changed. Reception area became bigger and now include seating area for visitors. The previous main hall has been divided into two separate rooms - one is computer room and other is meeting room. What was interesting is that old storage room transformed into café, while office on right side became storage. Kitchen stayed at same location but got smaller to make space for new toilets. The most noticeable change between two periods is how space was used more efficiently in new design. While original layout was dominated by single large hall, new design divided space into more specific areas that serve different purposes. This modification made community center more functional and modern, better serving needs of local people who use it.
The best way to solve the world's environmental problems is to increase the price of fuel. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
In today's world, environment problems are becoming more and more serious, and many people think making fuel more expensive can help solve these problems. While I understand why some people believe this could work, I don't completely agree that this is the best solution. I think increasing fuel prices can help reduce pollution in some ways. When fuel becomes more expensive, people start thinking twice about using their cars everyday. For example, in my country, when petrol prices went up last year, many of my friends started taking bus to work instead of driving. Also, companies might try harder to find ways to use less fuel because they want to save money, which is good for environment. However, I don't think this is enough to solve all environmental problems we have. First, not everyone can simply stop using fuel even if prices go up very high. Many people live far from their work and public transport is not good in their area. These people will just have to pay more money but still use same amount of fuel. Second, there are many other things that harm environment besides fuel usage. Like, factories make lot of pollution even if they don't use much fuel, and plastic waste is big problem too. In my opinion, we need different solutions working together to protect environment. Government should improve public transport so people have good choice instead of driving. They should also make strict rules for factories about pollution and support companies that use clean energy. Plus, I think teaching people about environment is very important because when people understand problem better, they make better choices. To conclude, while making fuel more expensive might help little bit with environmental problems, I believe we need more complete approach with different solutions. Just increasing fuel prices alone cannot solve all environmental challenges we face today.
Some people think students should learn more practical courses like computer science, while others believe they should focus more on theoretical courses like geography and mathematics. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
In today's world, there is big discussion about what kind of courses students need to learn in school. While some people think practical subjects like computer is more important, others believe theoretical subjects like geography and mathematics should be given more attention. I think both types of courses are necessary, but practical subjects are more useful for future life. First of all, learning practical courses give students real skills they can use in their life. When I learned computer in my school, I understood how to make documents, presentations and use internet for research. These skills helped me a lot when I started working in different jobs. Also, practical courses make learning more interesting because students can see direct results of their work, which makes them more motivated to study. On other hand, theoretical courses are also having important role in education. When we study subjects like geography and mathematics, we learn how to think in logical way and understand world around us better. For example, mathematics helps develop problem-solving skills that we need in many situations. And geography teaches us about different countries and cultures, which is very important in global world we live in. However, I strongly believe practical courses should get more attention in schools. The reason is that world is changing very fast, and students need skills they can use immediately after finishing school. When I look at job market now, I see many companies want people who know how to use computers and other practical skills. While theoretical knowledge is good, it's not enough for getting good job in modern society. In conclusion, while both practical and theoretical courses have their benefits, I think schools should focus more on practical subjects because they prepare students better for real life situations. But this doesn't mean we should completely ignore theoretical subjects - they should still be part of education, just with less focus than practical courses.
It is common practice for some students to take a gap year between high school and university in order to do charitable work abroad in underdeveloped countries. What are the advantages and disadvantages for young people of doing volunteer work?
In recent years, many students like me are choosing to do volunteer work in poor countries before they start university. While I believe this experience has many positive aspects, there are also some challenges that young people must consider carefully. When I think about advantages of volunteering abroad, the first thing that comes to my mind is personal growth. Students who help others in different countries learn so much about other cultures and ways of life. For example, my friend went to teach children in Africa last year, and she told me how this experience made her understand better what is really important in life. Another good point is that volunteers develop many useful skills which they can use later. They learn how to solve problems, work in teams, and communicate with people from different backgrounds. However, I must say there are also some problems with taking gap year for volunteer work. The biggest issue is that it costs lot of money to travel and stay in another country for long time. Many students' families cannot afford this, even though their children want to help others. Also, sometimes young people feel very shocked when they see difficult situations in poor countries, and they don't know how to deal with these feelings. I have heard that some volunteers return home early because everything is too different from what they expected. In my opinion, doing volunteer work during gap year can be very valuable experience if student is well prepared. I think it helps young people become more mature and understand global problems better. But they need to think carefully about money issues and be ready for challenges they will face. Maybe it is good idea to start with some volunteer work in their own country first, to see if they really like helping others. To conclude, while volunteering abroad has some difficulties like high costs and emotional challenges, I strongly believe its benefits for personal development and gaining life experience are more important. Students just need to prepare well and know what they are getting into.
The most important aim of science should be to improve people's lives. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
I strongly agree that making people's life better should be the main goal of science. In my opinion, scientific research must focus on solving problems that affect humans every day, even though some people think science should just try to understand how things work without thinking about practical use. When I look at medical science, I can see many examples where research has made big difference in our lives. For example, scientists have found ways to cure diseases that used to kill many people before. In my country, when I was young, my grandmother told me stories about how many children got very sick from simple infections, but now we have medicine that can help them get better quickly. This shows how science that focuses on helping people can bring really important changes to society. Another point I want to make is that when science aims to improve life, it also helps solve big problems in our world. Like when researchers work on making clean energy, they are not just studying interesting things about physics, but they are trying to fix pollution that makes many people sick. I have seen in my city how air gets very bad sometimes, and I think scientists who work on electric cars and solar energy are doing very important work for all of us. However, I must say that some people might think science should just try to learn new things without thinking about how to use them. But I don't agree with this idea because I believe knowledge becomes more valuable when we can use it to help others. In my experience as a student, I always feel more motivated when I can see how what I learn can make real difference in people's lives. In conclusion, I strongly believe that science's main purpose should be making life better for people. While discovering new things is important, using scientific knowledge to solve real problems and help humans live better lives should be the priority of scientific research.
Some people think that robots are important for humans' future development. Others think that robots have negative effects on society. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Today, there is much discussion about robots and how they affect our lives. I am going to write about good and bad things about robots, and also share what I think about this topic. On one side, robots can make our future better in many ways. When I think about it, robots help us do difficult work faster than humans. For example, in my country, many factories use robots to make cars and other things, and this makes products cheaper for everyone to buy. Also, robots never get tired like humans do, so they can work all day and night without stopping. This helps companies make more things and earn more money. However, other people worry about bad effects of robots on our society. I understand their concern because I see how robots take jobs from workers. In my city, there was a big factory where many people worked, but now robots do most of the work and many workers lost their jobs. Another problem is that people become too dependent on robots. Sometimes I notice how my friends cannot do simple math because they always use calculator, and this makes me worry about future generations. From my experience, I believe robots bring more benefits than problems to our society. Even though some workers might lose their jobs, new kinds of jobs appear because someone needs to fix and program these robots. When I studied in university, I saw many students learning about robot technology, and they all found good jobs after graduation. Also, robots can do dangerous work that might hurt humans, like cleaning toxic waste or working in very hot places. In conclusion, while robots can cause some problems like job losses, I think they are very important for making our future better. What we need to do is learn how to use robots in right way and make sure everyone can benefit from this technology. The world is changing fast, and we must change with it.
